Jenny Brown
Chair, LonghurstJenny is a governance and EDI specialist working both as a governance consultant and as a learning and development facilitator focussing on EDI and behaviours. She is passionate about bringing these two worlds together to create better organisations who can have a greater impact on more people. Jenny has worked on and with boards for many years and is currently Chair at Longhurst Group.
Her work includes the Social Housing sector through her part time role as a Governance Director at Altair and with a broad range of national and multinational organisations through associate roles elsewhere. She is a Coach, Coach Supervisor and Mentor to a wide range of people including Executives, Non-Executives all the way through to those at the beginnings of their careers. Jenny led on Altair’s input into the NHF Chair’s Challenge and Inclusive recruitment guide and is currently in discussion on an update.

Jenny Davidson
Non-Executive Director, LivinDr Jenny Davidson has over 25 years’ experience working in sustainability, across local government, infrastructure and higher education. A former Climate Change Fellow and Head of Sustainability in both public and private sector organisations, she has led strategic programmes on net zero, climate adaptation and community resilience. Jenny is a Non-Executive Director at Livin and provides advice on climate-related risk and long-term ESG strategy. Her work focusses on supporting leaders to make sense of sustainability and ESG to support strategic decisions helping boards lead confidently and build resilient, future-ready organisations.

Parminder Dosanjh
Board Member, WHGFor the past twenty-five years Parminder has designed and delivered ground-breaking audience development initiatives for arts, broadcast, and heritage. Her work spans digital production with the BBC, supporting the Cultural Olympiad programme with Arts Council England, and inclusive programming.
Now Creative Director of one of Arts Council’s Creative People and Places programmes, Parminder co-leads Creative Black Country. Her role focusses on co-design, placemaking and amplifying the assets in the region through creative process.
Outside of her role, Parminder is an Area Council Member for Arts Council England, Trustee with Black Country Living Museum, and a Board Member of West Midlands Combined Authority Cultural Leadership Board.
Parminder is also a member of whg’s People and Governance Committee.

Elaine Elkington
Chair and SID, Housing 21 and A2 DominionElaine is the owner and director of Elaine Elkington and Associates Limited, an independent consultancy business working in housing management, regeneration, strategy development, and organisational performance turnaround. Elaine was previously a Trustee and Governing Board member at the Chartered Institute of Housing and remains a fellow of the professional body. She is currently the Chair of Housing 21 Group Board, a national retirement living and housing with care specialist association ..Elaine is also Senior Independent Director at A2Dominion, an G15 association and a member of their Customer Service Committee and Strategic Development & Asset Committee.

Ian Green OBE
Chair, Delta HousingIan Green OBE - Ian has held high profile roles in the NHS, voluntary, housing, and local government sector in a variety of different roles. For seven years he was Chief Executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust, the UKs leading HIV and sexual health charity and before that had a 25 year career in the YMCA Movement including holding the position of CEO of YMCA England and as a member of the executive team of the World Alliance of YMCAs.
He has been a NED and Chair in NHS Acute, Ambulance and Commissioning organisations and is currently Chair of the NHS Integrated Care Board in Shropshire and Staffordshire. He is Chair of Delta Housing - the merged provider of CHP and Estuary Housing Associations - operating 17,000 homes in Essex. He was previously Vice Chair of Wandle Housing Association and was also chair of Advance, the specialist housing association.
He was awarded an OBE in the 2023 New Year's Honours List for services to charity and public health.

Raj Kumar
Board Member, L&QRaj brings over 38 years of experience in the registered provider sector to his role as founder and Head of One Enterprise Ltd, a housing consultancy he has led since 2006, specialising in governance, value for money, resident empowerment and regeneration.
He has been the Head of Service for a Local Authority, where he played a key role in establishing an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO). He has since managed several best-practice clubs for Housemark and now heads an Independent Tenant Advisory (ITA) service, supporting residents through a major regeneration scheme in London.
An experienced board member, Raj currently serves on the Board of L&Q Group and its Resident Services Board, and is an independent Chair of the Customer Committee at Nottingham Community Housing Association.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Manufacturing (RSA), and a qualified mediator — bringing a rare blend of governance expertise, resident-focused insight and practical sector experience to every engagement

Cath Purdy
Chair, Great Places Housing GroupCath is the Chair of Great Places Housing Group, appointed in September 2025. Great Places provides over 28,000 affordable homes across the North West and South Yorkshire, it has an impressive record of working in partnership; delivering new homes and investing in communities. Passionate about delivering great customer outcomes, Cath is committed to the transformation needed to achieve that. A firm advocate of good governance and Boards being on their mettle, which is all the more important in the turbulent and challenging times the sector currently face. Previous non-executive roles have included the National Housing Federation, Place Makers, HouseMark, the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Northern Housing Consortium. She also served on the Homes Board of Housing Plus Group.

Steve Secker
Chair, Golden Lane HousingSteve Secker is an MBA qualified Chartered Accountant. He worked for McCarthy & Stone, Britain’s leading Retirement Living housing developer, for 24 years with his last 13 years as Regional Managing Director in the North. He led on the project ‘Transforming our Customer Experience’. McCarthy & Stone are industry leaders with 13+ years 5* status recommendation from their customers.
Since 2018 Steve has been building a portfolio of work comprising retirement housing consultancy, executive mentoring and Non Exec roles including Tang Hall Smart CIC, Tang Hall Employment Charity, a SME housebuilder and two Construction tech businesses. He chairs the York Property Forum which is part of the Chamber of Commerce. Steve was a Non-Executive Board Member at Karbon Homes, and chaired 54North Homes Karbon’s subsidiary in Yorkshire and served on the Group’s Audit & Risk Committee.

Jerome Tsui
Board Member, Jigsaw HomesJerome is the Founding Director of 1828, a specialist in accessibility design, professional standards, and conflict mediation. He is passionate about advancing equity and strengthening inclusive communities. Having served as a Director of EDI in higher education, he applies this experience to working with tenants, police, and local authorities in Anti-Social Behaviour conflicts and mediations within social housing. A former auditor with KPMG, he has advised international organisations on governance, technology risk, and transformation initiatives. He is a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Housing, a Non-Executive Director of Jigsaw Homes, and an Independent Member of Citizens Advice’s Equity Advisory Group.

Gavin Wallen
Tenant Chair, Phoenix Community HousingGavin joined the Board at Phoenix in 2023 after becoming an involved resident and studying with the Phoenix Academy. After gaining in-depth knowledge of the sector through our school of social housing, Gavin has found his passion for resident voice and engagement. As an advocate of Phoenix’s resident-led community gateway model, Gavin is keen to see similar approaches adopted across the sector.
