Kathleen Harris-Leighton
Board Member, PA HousingMy name is Kathleen Harris-Leighton and I am currently in my third year as a serving Resident Board Member and Safeguarding Champion for PA Housing. I sit on the Finance, Risk and Audit & Customer Committees. I am passionate about the Customer Voice and I am the link between the board and communities/residents. I am a Community Leader, Therapist, Consultant and Business Women. I am dedicated in supporting and empowering all communities, and that includes underpinning Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in everything I do and say. I am an enthusiastic professional and I sit on numerous steering groups and committees. Cultural competency is essential in today’s global world and I am a proven leader and committed to encouraging cultural understanding.

Managing Director, Scrutiny and Empowerment PartnersYvonne Davies is the HDN Associate and the facilitator of the HDN national programmes on:

Yvonne delivers equality health checks, Diversity Needs Assessment Accreditation for HDN.
Yvonne is a Board Member both at Cobalt Housing, and Steve Biko HA. Yvonne is a former Housing Association Managing Director, with 38 years’ experience of working in Housing and communities and the former Head of Housing and Economic Development at the Audit Commission in the North of England. She has been self-employed since 2011.
Her expertise and business is built around governance, equalities, strategic and policy review, building outcome focused strong resident voices, complaints mediation and building capacity with Boards, residents, communities.
Gary Moreton

Chair, WHGGary was appointed Chair of whg’s Board in July 2022.
Gary, previously a chartered accountant and audit partner at RSM, joined the Board in July 2019 and was elected Deputy Chair in June 2020. He has more than 25 years’ experience working in our sector and previously led RSM’s social housing work nationally. He has worked with housing associations on various regulatory, risk and governance matters including preparations for in-depth assessments carried out by the Regulator of Social Housing.
Gary is now a financial consultant to a Midlands property development company and is a member of the Audit Committee at Orbit. His wealth of experience, firm belief in our mission and commitment to continuous improvement will support our current and future ambitions.
Gary is also a member of whg’s Governance and Remuneration Committee.
Alison Inman
Board Member, Saffron HousingAlison Inman is a board member at Tpas and Past President of the Chartered Institute of Housing. She sits on the boards of two housing associations and is Co-founder of SHOUT, the social housing campaign group.
Terrie Alafat
Chair, RiversideTerrie served as Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Housing from 2015 to 2019, and has a wealth of housing experience spanning over 23 years.
Her previous appointments include Director of Housing at the Department of Communities and Local Government where she was responsible for national housing polices including affordable housing, homelessness and supported housing.
Her wealth of knowledge of the housing sector and her work in shaping policy will be instrumental in continuing to take the Group forward as one of the country’s leading providers of housing and homelessness services.
